Key Terms to Know
Get familiar with some of the terms you’ll encounter while using NPA Connects:
Homepage: The main landing page where you can access all products.
Campaign: A centralised area where you can access customisable marketing materials for your pharmacy, focused on a specific topic or product, such as Flu Season, Travel, Weight Management, and many more.
Templates: Pre-designed marketing materials ready for personalisation.
Order History: A log of all your current, pending or completed orders.
National Campaigns: Ready-to-go marketing materials developed to support nationwide healthcare initiatives.
Paper Type: The finish of the paper being used for printed items.
- Silk – Silk paper is a type of paper with a smooth, silky coating that falls between gloss and matte paper.
- Matte – Matte paper is a type of paper with a soft, non-glossy finish that reduces glare.
Paper Weight: This is explained in GSM (grams per square metre) and is a unit of measuring for paper weight. The higher the GSM, the heavier and thicker the paper. Lighter paper is better for writing and printing, while heavier paper is better for specialised uses like invitations and scrapbooking.
- 150/170 GSM – A thin paper that’s easy to fold or bend. Used for letters and flyers.
- 250 GSM – A thicker paper that’s harder to fold, often used for Posters.
- 350 GSM – A thick paper used for postcards, business cards, presentation folders, and thicker covers for brochures, magazines and booklets.
Coating:
- No Laminate – there will be no coating on the printed item.
- Laminated – this indicates there will be a thick layer of Laminate added to the print item, often to ensure the durability of the printed item.
